The Image of God

Despite what Rachel might suggest God is probably the oldest member of the Spence family. Some wonder what God looks like. Wonder no more - You can see God on this web site using the Uganda link. Look closely at the faces of the children!

God is the most radical member of the Spence's. He has a son who was regarded as a threat to established religion...so much so that they sentenced him to death. He lived amongst the down trodden, the poor and the sick and spoke of a God of love, and not a set of rules.

Today many forget that he is still a radical God and try and box him up in rules or a building, but he is not only the oldest but also the biggest member of our family. We don't fully understand him but know enough to know that he is with us through good and bad and is still the same radical God he has always been who still has a heart for the oppressed, the poor and the weak and if that's where God's heart is then that's where our heart is too.
